CFB Playoff Predictions

With College Football season now under 100 days away, the need to take a look at possible playoff outcomes is necessary. In what should be an incredibly intriguing season, with the first true NIL year being the 2022-2023 season, I’ll give you my take on the top 4 teams in all of college football, as well as some dark horses.

  1. Alabama: Love them or hate them, the Crimson Tide are back and good as ever. With much of the roster returning from last season, Nick Saban’s team hopes to take advantage of a possible much more even field. With Bryce Young still slinging for the Tide, I look for them to return with fury this season.

  1. USC: Okay. Before the Oklahoma fans start typing, hear me out. I understand why this could be wrong. Look, USC has been an incredible disappointment over the years. They’ve been weak since 2005. BUT, this is a new era inside the Coliseum. With Lincoln Riley coming to town, and bringing with him one of the most talented rosters in the nation, the Trojans are here to play. And, if they can survive Utah and Notre Dame, the Trojans could do big things.

  1. Ohio State: The time has come for Ryan Day. The sun is shining upon the city of Columbus, and the buckeyes have the stars aligning. With tons of talent coming in, the team that has hit and missed under coach Day recently looks to be back. Back to greatness. With incoming DC Jim Knowles, the one weak spot looks to be fixed, and the buckeyes smell blood in a Big 10 East that has significantly weakened from years past.

  1. Texas A&M: The NIL kings, as shady as their tactics may be or not, the Aggies finally have a breathable schedule (for SEC West standards at least). Jimbo Fisher and Nick Saban have been doing an awful lot of talking off the field, but the question is if this young Aggies squad can be more than just all bark, no bite. College Station has waited decades, and the time might be coming.

Next Four Out:

  1. Notre Dame
  2. Utah
  3. Georgia
  4. Oklahoma State
