#1 - Georgia
Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs have been amazing both offensively and defensively. Georgia’s quarterback Stetson Bennet has been one of the best in the nation, and has helped the Bulldog offense to be one of the best in the nation as well. Stetson Bennet’s elite performances so far this season could make him a real Heisman contender. This season many questioned if the Bulldogs defense could reproduce the same success they’ve had in recent seasons due to the loss of a lot of seniors, but the defense has seen the same success as in the past. Their defense is one of the best in nation and absolutely destroyed #25 Oregon’s offense. Their defense has allowed the least amount of points in the nation with a total of 3 points allowed. The Bulldogs very much deserve the number 1 spot on this week’s College Football rankings.
#2 - Alabama
Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide were projected to have another year of dominance as they have the reigning Heisman trophy winner on their team, as well as a very good defense. Alabama’s quarterback Bryce Young is nothing shy of amazing, and with him at quarterback the Crimson Tide have a legit shot to win the National Championship. They also have a very good defense headlined by elite linebacker Will Anderson Jr. who is projected to be a top pick in this year's draft. Alabama was on upset alert last week against #21 Texas, but they came away with the win, and Nick Saban will make this team is ready for any adversity next time. The Alabama Crimson Tide are your 2nd ranked team.
#3 - Ohio State
Ryan Day’s Buckeyes had very high expectations coming into this season. The Buckeyes were expected to make a College Football Playoff game, and quarterback C.J. Stroud was an early Heisman favorite. The Buckeyes have not played exactly up to expectations as they won a close game against a Notre Dame team they were supposed to blow out. However, when you have one of the best quarterbacks in the nation as well as one of the best receivers in Jaxon Smith-Njigba, you should be okay. The Ohio State Buckeyes are your 3rd ranked team.
#4 - Michigan
Jim Harbaugh’s team made the College Football playoff last season, but fell short of a National Championship game. This year the Wolverines want to replicate the same success they found last season. The Wolverines defense has looked amazing so far, and so has the offense, but it was uncertain of who would be the starter at quarterback. Cade McNamara played in Michigan’s week 1 matchup against Colorado State and played very solid. J.J. McCarthy started week 2 against Hawai’i and had a near perfect performance. With this performance he was able to win the starting job, and looks to continue the dominance Michigan’s offense has displayed so far this season. The Michigan Wolverines are your 4th ranked team.

#5 - Clemson
Dabo Swinney has his Tigers playing solid football primarily focused on defense. The defense has looked very good and will continue their dominance throughout the season. The offense however has not looked great at times, and a lot of people believe that starting quarterback DJ Uiagalelei should be benched for freshman Cade Klubnik if the Tigers want a shot at the College Football Playoff. The team is currently on top of the ACC Atlantic. The Clemson Tigers are your 5th ranked team.
#6 - Oklahoma
First year head coach Brent Venables has his Oklahoma Sooners playing great to start the season. The Sooners defense has looked great as they have only allowed a total of 16 points all season. Their balanced offensive attack is frontlined by UCF transfer Dillon Gabriel and returning Oklahoma wideout Marvin Mims. This team has a real shot of being the Champion of a stacked conference in the Big 12. The Oklahoma Sooners are your 6th ranked team.
#7 - USC
New head coach Lincoln Riley has his new team playing amazing so far throughout the season. Transfers are really the story of this team as Caleb Williams and Jordan Addison are the primary reasons why this USC offense is so electric. The transfer from Oklahoma has looked like one of the best quarterbacks in the nation so far this year, and he can make a serious case for the Heisman award. Jordan Addison has also picked up right where he left off at Pitt, and the Biletnikoff award winner looks amazing. This USC team has a serious case at a Pac-12 Championship as well as the first College Football Playoff in the schools history. USC is your 7th ranked team.
#8 - Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State lost the Big 12 Championship last season in heartbreaking fashion, and possibly missed out on a chance at the College Football Playoff. This year that team is looking for revenge, and they have stuck to their goal so far. Mike Gundy, along with his amazing hair, have got the Cowboys playing good so far this season. Behind Senior quarterback Spencer Sanders, the Cowboys have one of the best passing offenses in the nation. You combine the dynamic passing offense with a solid run game and you have a Cowboys offense that can take home a Big 12 Championship this season. Oklahoma State is your 8th ranked team.
#9 - Kentucky
The team that is on top of the SEC East finds themselves ranked number 9. The Kentucky Wildcats have been playing good football so far this season, and it will be interesting to see if they are able to keep it up in a stacked conference. Their win over #18 Florida showed that the Wildcats defense is very solid. The offense has looked solid at moments too, and their quarterback Will Levis has potential to be an NFL starter one day. When Kentucky running back Chris Rodriguez comes back, look for the Wildcats rushing game to become even more dominant as he was the SEC’s leading rusher a year ago. The Kentucky Wildcats are your 9th ranked team.
#10 - Arkansas
The Razorbacks are the number 10 team and the nation and deservedly so. Sam Pittman has his team at 2-0 and they have looked great throughout the first two weeks. They got a big win over then ranked Cincinnati, and then they remained undefeated with a conference win over South Carolina. KJ Jefferson has looked very good so far as his QBR is 83.7 making him one of the most efficient passers in college football, and his dynamic rushing ability has helped the offense out a lot. The Razorbacks rushing attack is their primary offensive strategy, and it is elite as the Razorbacks are eighth in the nation for rushing. The defense has not been great, but it has been solid enough to keep this team undefeated. Arkansas is on top of the SEC West and is very deserving of their number 10 spot.
