Charleston Southern came out on top and got their first win against Citadel in double overtime on Saturday night at Johnson Hagood stadium. Southern is now 1-2, looking to keep this momentum to a winning season.
The game was very intense and close the whole night, both teams couldn't stop each other from scoring. Charleston found a way though to come out on top at the end. Charleston first took the lead going into halftime 10-7 but Citadel came out punching and tied the game to 13-13 going into overtime.
Both teams scored in the first overtime, but Charleston Southern finished the job in the second overtime with a touchdown to take the 26-20 win.
The big question is, could Charleston Southern Head coach Gabe Giardina keep this momentum and find their 2nd win of the season this week?
