After an emotional and hard-fought 43-35 overtime victory against in-state rival Colorado State, the Buffaloes head into their matchup against Baylor with momentum but also a clear need for adjustments. In that win, Shedeur Sanders threw for over 350 yards and 4 touchdowns, demonstrating his clutch ability by leading a late-game comeback to force overtime. However, the physicality of the Colorado State game was evident, with both Travis Hunter and Sanders taking hits throughout the contest.

Hunter, playing both cornerback and wide receiver, made his presence felt once again, but took a big hit that may affect his availability for the Baylor game. His versatility on both sides of the ball will be crucial if he's able to play. As Colorado regroups, Baylor presents a different kind of challenge—a team known for its toughness and defensive prowess.

Coach Deion Sanders has emphasized resilience after last week's emotionally charged game, but the Buffaloes will need to show discipline and composure against a Baylor team that will look to capitalize on any mistakes. With the high-flying Colorado offense and a defense led by Hunter’s ball-hawking ability, the Buffaloes have the tools to stay unbeaten. However, they'll need to clean up mistakes, especially on defense, which struggled at times against Colorado State’s passing attack.

Baylor’s defense will likely key in on pressuring Sanders, trying to disrupt his rhythm and force him into making quicker decisions. The Bears will also look to test Colorado’s ability to defend the run, something the Buffaloes struggled with at times against Colorado State. The battle in the trenches will be key, with Baylor’s physicality matching up against Colorado’s speed and playmaking ability.

The outcome of this game will hinge on how well Sanders can handle the pressure Baylor brings, and whether Hunter can suit up and continue his elite play on both sides of the ball. If Colorado can replicate their offensive fireworks from previous weeks and clean up some defensive lapses, they have a great shot at staying unbeaten and further boosting their national profile.
