Deion Sanders Calls Alabama State Game A " Money Game "

Week 6 of the College Football season has Jackson State playing at Alabama State. This Southwestern Athletic Conference game is destined to be a good one. We'll be in Montgomery for this hyped up match-up but first , let’s take a closer look into this game.

This game should be very exciting for two main reasons: It is Alabama State’s homecoming game, and Deion Sanders has talked a lot about this game.

Homecoming games are always exciting as the energy is boosted, and the seats are usually sold out. This game is sold out and the crowd should be electric as 3-2 Alabama State hopes to defeat 4-0 Jackson State. Alabama State started the season off well with solid wins over Howard and Miles. Week 3 the Hornets lost badly to UCLA, and week 4 they lost by 10 to Prairie View. Week 5 they were able to bounce back and win against Texas Southern. Alabama State will look to ride that momentum to a crucial conference win over Jackson State. The sold out crowd and it being the homecoming game, might fuel the Hornets to play at an elite level.

Jackson State comes into this game undefeated at 4-0 on the season. Their first 4 games have been showings of elite offense and very good defense. Coming off a bye week, the Tigers will look to continue their early success. Head Coach Deion Sanders was asked about this game and he said, “I love the fact that we’re going to play Alabama State for their homecoming. I love it. Quote me on it. I love it.” Deion’s big statement needs to be backed up by a Jackson State win, or it will be very embarrassing. Deion believes very strongly in his team, and they will need to play up to his standards to secure the win.
