The ACC title race took a dramatic turn on the betting board this week — and Miami didn’t even have to play to do it. FanDuel Sportsbook now lists the Hurricanes as the outright favorite at -115, moving from +115 to minus odds during their bye week. That swing signals growing confidence in Miami’s ability to separate from the rest of the league as the most complete team in the conference.

Georgia Tech remains the clear No. 2 challenger, though their odds slipped slightly from +370 to +430. The Yellow Jackets are still positioned as the biggest threat after a strong 5-0 start, but oddsmakers see a growing gap between Miami and the rest of the field.

The middle tier of contenders is where the intrigue builds. Louisville (+1000) and Florida State (+1100) both have the firepower to climb, while Virginia (+1300) and Duke (+1500) are lurking as dark horses. SMU (+1800) and California (+2200) round out the group of realistic options that could shake things up if momentum swings their way.

On the other hand, traditional power Clemson has tumbled to +8000 after stumbling through the first month. Pitt (+10000), Virginia Tech (+12500), and North Carolina (+15000) find themselves in longshot territory. At the very bottom, Boston College, Wake Forest, NC State, and Stanford all sit buried at +30000 — essentially written off by the oddsmakers.

Bottom line: The ACC is shaping up as a two-team race between Miami and Georgia Tech, but the middle pack — led by Louisville and Florida State — will be eager to prove oddsmakers wrong as October unfolds.
