The undefeated Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets return to action this weekend as they host the Virginia Tech Hokies at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta. Coming off a much-needed bye week, Georgia Tech sits alone at the top of the ACC standings and fully controls its own destiny as the season enters the second half.

The Jackets have been one of the biggest surprises in college football this year, starting conference play strong behind an explosive offense led by quarterback Haynes King and a disciplined defense that continues to improve each week. Head coach Brent Key has his team playing confident, balanced football — and with fresh legs coming out of the bye, this matchup offers a big opportunity to keep their momentum rolling.

For Georgia Tech, this game is about maintaining focus and continuing to build on their early-season success. A win over Virginia Tech would not only move them one step closer to an ACC Championship Game appearance but also reinforce their status as one of the league’s most complete teams.

Virginia Tech, meanwhile, will look to play spoiler and pull off an upset on the road. The Hokies have shown flashes of potential this season but will need to execute at a high level to keep pace with Georgia Tech’s balanced attack.

As the Yellow Jackets return to Bobby Dodd under the lights, all eyes will be on how they respond after the bye. With their goals still in front of them and the path to Charlotte in their hands, this weekend’s matchup could be a major statement game for Georgia Tech.
