The TCU Horned Frogs are off to a strong 1-0 start following a statement win in Week 1 over Bill Belichick and the Carolina Tar Heels. After a bye week to regroup and prepare, the Horned Frogs now look to keep building on the momentum that was sparked by a dominant all-around performance.

Quarterback Josh Hoover wasted no time proving he’s ready to take the reins of this offense. Hoover looked sharp, poised, and in control from the first snap, orchestrating drives with confidence and precision. His connection with new transfer wide receiver Jordan Dwyer immediately stole the spotlight. The duo looked unstoppable, creating mismatches all game and putting the Tar Heels’ secondary on its heels.

Dwyer, who transferred in during the offseason, showed why TCU was so eager to bring him aboard. His size, speed, and ability to create separation gave Hoover a reliable weapon downfield. The chemistry between the two is already ahead of schedule, and that could spell trouble for opposing defenses throughout the season.

The bye week couldn’t have come at a better time, giving TCU extra preparation before diving into the grind of their schedule. Head coach Sonny Dykes and his staff will look to use this extra time to polish the offensive rhythm and continue building around the Hoover–Dwyer connection.

With an explosive start, a confident quarterback, and a new star emerging at wide receiver, the Horned Frogs have plenty to be excited about. If Week 1 was a preview, TCU may once again be a force to be reckoned with in college football.
