Projected Playoff Bracket (If the season ended today)
Round 1 Matchups:
12 Tulane vs. 5 Texas Tech
9 Notre Dame vs. 8 Oklahoma
11 Miami vs. 6 Ole Miss
10 Alabama vs. 7 Oregon
First-round byes:
1 Ohio State, 2 Indiana, 3 Texas A&M, 4 Georgia
One of the most intriguing aspects of this projection is Miami’s position. The bracket has Miami getting in as the ACC’s automatic qualifier, despite the Hurricanes currently not being in position to make the conference championship game. They still need significant chaos for that opportunity to open up.
It will be interesting to see whether Miami could secure an at-large bid if they fail to qualify for the ACC title game. Their path remains one of the biggest storylines as the playoff picture continues to evolve.
