The New York Football Giants head to New Orleans this Sunday to take on the Saints in what will be rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart’s second career NFL start and the team’s first game without star wide receiver Malik Nabers, who suffered a season-ending ACL injury last week.
The Giants are coming off their first win of the season, a 21-18 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers that showcased the promise of their young signal-caller. Dart looked calm, confident, and composed, bringing a new energy to the offense. The rookie flashed his dual-threat ability, rushing for 54 yards and a touchdown while also throwing for another score. His command of the huddle and playmaking instinct were exactly what New York needed after a slow start to the season.
With Nabers sidelined, the Giants will now look for someone to step up in the passing game and all eyes are on Wan’Dale Robinson. The third-year wideout has already proven he can handle a heavy workload, with a breakout performance earlier this season against the Cowboys where he recorded eight catches for 142 yards and a touchdown. Robinson’s speed and shiftiness make him a perfect fit for Dart’s playmaking style, and Sunday’s matchup could mark the beginning of a strong quarterback-receiver connection for the Giants.
As New York looks to build momentum and secure its second straight win, all eyes will be on the young duo of Dart and Robinson to keep the offense rolling and prove that the future is bright in the Big Apple.
